Abstract

In the context of the accelerated digitalization of industry, developing relevant digital skills in future engineers is of paramount importance. This article examines the technological potential and effectiveness of the domestic digital platform Engee as an alternative to foreign CAE systems (such as MATLAB, Simulink, and Amesim). Particular attention is paid to the platform’s capabilities in the context of teaching key areas for modern engineers: mathematical calculations, physical modeling, data analysis, and the fundamentals of machine learning, including artificial neural networks. The advantages of Engee for creating virtual interactive educational environments, organizing project activities in engineering and technical fields, and conducting simulations in various engineering fields are analyzed. A central aspect is the integration of the Engee digital platform with the high-performance Julia programming language, which expands its functionality for engineering calculations and modeling complex technical objects. This article presents methodological recommendations for integrating Engee into the educational process, aimed at improving the quality of engineering training and their competitiveness in the labor market in the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0, 4IR). The Engee digital platform aligns with the global trend toward digitalization and the implementation of simulation in modern engineering education. This article will be useful for teachers and students interested in modernizing relevant engineering disciplines.
