Abstract

The article deals with the problem of improving the quality of engineering education in the aspect of developing professional competences in technological marketing among engineering students. It is shown that knowledge of the basics of technological marketing, which is also called engineering marketing, can contribute to a more competent solution of the professional tasks of future engineers to ensure the competitiveness of products in the process of their development. The article substantiates the necessity of introducing the competence «ability to develop competitive products» into educational standards and programmes, which should be achieved by students studying the recommended list of theoretical issues and acquiring skills and abilities in the framework of practical classes.
