Abstract
Engineering emerged as a form of entrepreneurial initiative based on economic aspects. All engineering projects should have a competitive advantage by combining price and efficiency. In the context of global economic constraints, the Russian transport sector faces increased risk. Transportation models for different user groups are changing, routes and methods of transportation are being adapted, and booking systems are being improved. These changes entail risks and challenges that affect the stability and productivity of the Transportation industry. The current economic environment has a significant impact on the transport industry. Recently, some passenger transportation routes and destinations have been completely decommissioned. At the same time, there is a change in the structure of transit cargo transportation, which entails the need to adapt and rethink logistics networks. The deepening of economic ties with the states of the East against the background of the aggravation of relations on the western borders requires the adaptation of logistics infrastructure, including the redistribution of vehicles, as well as an increase in the
use of traction resources and repair facilities. These factors highlight the impact of the external environment on the transport industry. In addition to the economic environment, decisions can play a significant role, for example, rail transport is facing internal problems due to its historical development and the reforms carried out in recent years, which also contributes to the overall complexity of managing this sector. The transformation of the transport industry led to an increase in the number of participants involved in the process, and revealed key requirements for ensuring economic security in transport. At the same time, economic security in transport involves an integrated approach to threat analysis and the development of management strategies and protective measures.
